How much does the Genecept Assay® cost?
Genomind will make a concerted effort, including multiple appeals as requested, to have health insurance providers cover the cost of testing, up to 100%. Patients with health insurance may be required by their insurance plan to pay a co-pay, a co-insurance amount and/or a deductible in connection with any medical services they receive. Genomind will bill the patient for this patient responsibility portion as determined by their health insurance plan. The out-of-pocket amount that the patient may owe varies, but Genomind does offer financial assistance programs to those patients who qualify. Genomind also offers a prompt payment discount and payment plans for self-pay patients. Please have the patient contact us directly with any billing, insurance or financial questions at:
(877) 895-8658, ext. 3450
Is the test covered by insurance?
The Genecept Assay® is submitted for reimbursement to all commercial and third-party payers, Medicare, and some other government programs. Genomind has also created a Patient Assistance Program for those who qualify. We are dedicated to working with insurance providers and will directly bill health insurance plans for laboratory testing ordered by a healthcare provider. The patient’s insurance plan will determine if the testing is a covered benefit. Patients should provide their healthcare provider with a current health insurance card, along with a signed patient financial consent form, at the time the sample is collected. Please have the patient contact us directly with any billing, insurance or financial questions at:

Will my genetic information be kept private?
Genomind is committed to protecting the personal, private health information of patients. We abide by all required HIPAA and GINA practices. Our lab is a CLIA-certified facility, which means it meets the federal quality guidelines for laboratory testing standards. Test results are only communicated to the ordering clinician, unless the patient specifically authorizes additional clinicians to receive their information.
