Dr. Nicole M. Del Toro-Pagán is a double board-certified geriatric and pharmacotherapy specialist currently serving as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) at Genomind. With a robust background in pharmacogenomics (PGx) and geriatrics, Dr. Del Toro-Pagán leverages her extensive expertise to advance Genomind’s mission of enhancing mental health care through precision medicine.

Dr. Del Toro-Pagán earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Puerto Rico, where she was recognized with the Award of Excellence in Patient Care. She is licensed to practice pharmacy in both New Jersey and Connecticut. She began her professional journey at Yale New Haven Health – Bridgeport Hospital, completing a Postgraduate Year-1 (PGY1) pharmacy practice residency in July 2019, where she then worked as a multi-specialty clinical pharmacist. In her role as a multi-specialty clinical pharmacist, Dr. Del Toro-Pagán delivered patient care in a variety of areas, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, intensive care units, cardiology, intravenous preparation room, and central pharmacy. She was also involved in protocol development, medication management system optimization, and medication safety committees.

Driven by a passion for personalized medicine, Dr. Del Toro-Pagán pursued and completed a Postgraduate Year-2 (PGY2) residency in Clinical PGx at TRHC in June 2021. During her tenure at TRHC, she served as a PGx specialized pharmacist, where she provided PGx consultation services to healthcare providers, integrating genetic insights into patient care to optimize therapeutic outcomes. She also contributed significantly to the education of pharmacy students, residents, and other healthcare professionals on the applications of PGx. She collaborated on multiple precision medicine research studies that guide and accelerate their application into clinical practice, resulting in several publications. Additionally, Dr. Del Toro-Pagán collaborated with cross-functional teams as a lead and PGx subject matter expert by contributing to the continuous development and maintenance of PGx clinical decision support proprietary software.
