Judith C. Engelman, MD, is a board certified psychiatrist who has practiced in Phoenix and Scottsdale for 38 years. She currently is a faculty member at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and Science, and has previously taught at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and Barrow Neurological Institute and Maricopa Medical Center.
Her extensive research experience includes being the director of neuropsychiatric research for both a Phase I and II as well as a Phase II through IV research facility for 5 years. Dr. Engelman’s recent research study at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale Department of Psychiatry and Arizona State University Department of Psychology is related to fostering resilience in women healthcare professionals with children under age eighteen. She continues to work with Mayo Clinic practitioners and medical students in the areas of wellness and resilience. Dr. Engelman is passionate about supporting the utilization of genetics to develop more precise diagnoses and to personalize more effective treatments for mental health conditions.
In this 1-hour session, Dr. Engelman leads a 45-minute presentation, then concludes with a 15-minute Q&A session.
