Dr. Strawn, Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati, is a psychiatrist specializing in the neurophysiology, neurochemistry and neuroanatomy of anxiety disorders in children and adolescents. Dr. Strawn’s research has highlighted antidepressant use in pediatric patients with anxiety disorders and has also focused on examining the class-specific side effects of these agents. Dr. Strawn has extensive expertise in the conduct of clinical trials in youth with anxiety disorders and speaks extensively on mood disorders in youth. Dr. Strawn discusses using pharmacogenetics to improve antidepressant efficacy and tolerability in children and adolescents in a 45 minute presentation, then concludes with a Q&A session.
