Ronald I. Dozoretz, MD was the Founder and former Chairman of Genomind. He began his career in psychiatry as a naval doctor where he saw the need for better understanding and improved services and systems for mental health care.
A recognized national leader and advocate for mental healthcare quality, access, and innovation, he was known for his ability to birth successful new programs and models of care into clinical practice and the market. He was the Founder and Chairman of ValueOptions, Inc. (now Beacon Health Options), one of the nation’s leading behavioral health and wellness companies, serving over 32 million people.
Dr. Dozoretz held numerous positions with healthcare-related professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, and the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems. He served as a member of the Board of Advisors for RAND Health, the Board of Directors for the National Health Policy Council, and the National Foundation for Mental Health. He was also an advisor to the Newt Gingrich Center for Health Transformation.
