Dr. Perlis is the Associate Chief for Research in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Psychiatry, where he holds the Ronald I. Dozoretz MD endowed chair. He is also the Director of the Center for Experimental Drugs and Diagnostics and is a Professor at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Roy Perlis’ clinical work and research are focused on difficult-to-treat or treatment-resistant mood disorders, including major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder. He is the author of more than 100 peer-reviewed research publications and numerous book chapters and reviews. His current research efforts include identifying predictors of treatment response and identifying and studying novel treatments for mood disorders.
